Jeff Emig, Jeremy McGrath, Tommy Clowers, Billy Laninovich, and Eric Bostrom, have all ridden in Costa Rica. Costa Rica Unbound has had the honor of hosting motocross icons Ricky Johnson, Doug Dubach, Danny LaPorte and X-Game Gold Medalist, Mike Metzger.
Motorcycle magazines Dirt Rider, Dirt Bike, Racer X, Cycle News, Cycle World, Cycle USA, Motocross Action television shows Nitro Circus, Fuel TV, Speed Channels’ “Epic Ride” and consumer publications such as Robb Report have all experienced the Costa Rica Unbound tour.
“Seeing the beauty of Cost Rica on the new WR’s was simply awesome! Our experience with Cost Rica Unbound was flawless. They offered us simple sightseeing gravel roads, jungle paths, super challenging single track, or any mix of riding we wanted. Motorcycles are loved in this friendly country, and the guys at Costa Rica Unbound are all about showing riders a great time. I’ll be back for sure, as it shouldn’t be a once in a lifetime experience!”

I had the best time riding in Costa Rica, the single track to the motocross track to just racing around on the beach, Costa Rica Unbound was unreal. I was only planning on staying four days but I was having such a blast and my wife was able to have so much fun, we broke out the credit card and stayed for another 3 days. I’ll be back and next time I’m going to master surfing!

“Costa Rica Unbound Tours are the real deal. So many times you go on riding tours around the world and the tours just suck. They are not challenging, or they won’t let you go off the main trails. Unbound gave us the opportunity to ride some great single track through the jungle. Then an amazing Mark Peters built a motocross track in the jungle that was a blast to ride. Finally, every night was handled with excellent food and a fantastic beach front property where you could relax and watch the sun go down. In my opinion they are one of the only tours in the world worth doing.”

“I rode down here a few years back with Yamaha Motor Corp testing new bikes. I did not leave their PR division alone after that, basically begging to do all bike introductions in Costa Rica. I’m from the East Coast so when we traveled from 15 degree weather to 80 degrees last December, the adventure was twice as nice. The activities we did and the mountains we traversed across the country, Costa Rica Unbound is a dream.”

“I wanted to write and thank you for an insane trip. Each year, my brothers and our friends do one adventure trip together. We had heard about Costa Rica Unbound and decided to head south. The guides were so accommodating, the riding was insane, and we did not get nickel and dimed for all the activities. Visiting a new country was easy as the guides were there for us from the time we stepped off the plane to the time we staggered back on! Thank you again and see you in two years!

I had to tell you what an incredible experience it was
to ride the new Yamaha WRs in Costa Rica. It was wild,
to say the least. It's hard to imagine where else you
could take in such stunning scenery at the same time
as have so much fun riding a dirt bike. In fact, it
was hard to balance the two; I found myself looking at
the big vistas when I should have been looking at the
slick red clay that was always such a challenage to
deal with. Luckily the WR450F was so easy to ride. It
feels light and handles really well for an electric
start 450.
Pass on my thanks to Todd and the guys at Costa Rica
Unbound. They know all the right places to go for a
great trail ride. They also know some great places to
find excellent fish tacos. A little local knowledge
goes a long way.
Again, thanks for the opportunity. I'll be doing a
story on the whole adventure in the March issue of Dirk Bike

The WR Press Intro in Costa Rica was awesome with great riding, accommodations and machinery. As if the riding weren’t enough there were plenty of well-organized events and tours that made the trip smooth, easy and fun. The new WRs are just the bike to negotiate all the different kinds of terrain, and since they’re still down there with Costa Rica Unbound it’d be worth taking another trip just for recreation! All the guides helped make the event even better with a knowledgeable and speedy staff that knew all the hot riding spots no matter what we were looking for. Well done, Yamaha.

I was blown away by the 07 bikes. Gregg and I have ridden all over the world while making our dirt bike films. We have also raced some of the most infamous enduros like the Erzberg Rodeo and the Red Bull Romaniacs. The new bikes ripped! They never lacked power (even the 250 F) and they handle like a dream. I need to get my hands on one. The tour was incredible. Where else can you ride through jungles, mountains and beaches all on the same day? Costa Rica unbound made things even more perfect. There is no way we would have been able to find our way around down there without them. The guides were skilled ride and they knew all the perfect locations. We just got back and we’re already planning on doing a film trip in Costa Rica for our next movie. Once again, thank you so much for the experience.
